Cold Chain Integrity- Erlanger, KY
United Dairy Farmers, a highly successful and family-owned ice cream manufacturer in the Cincinnati market saw an opportunity to branch out and venture into a new industry in public warehousing. They came to Tippmann Group looking for a complete solution in one place. It began with Tippmann helping UDF acquire a piece of land adjacent to their ice cream production plant, in an ideal location near several major interstates.
UDF also realized that Tippmann Group was the only company in the industry who could both design/build a new facility for them, while also helping to prepare them for the public warehousing business as only an owner/operator can do. After touring the Interstate Warehousing facility in Franklin, IN (owned and operated by Tippmann Group), UDF saw exactly the type of facility they would be getting and the project was given to Tippmann Group.
Tippmann’s engineers originally designed a 105,000 square foot frozen distribution facility with room for expansion on site, and when it was complete, their new company, Cold Chain Integrity, was in business.
Just three years after opening their facility, they were ready to expand. Tippmann added another 100,000 square feet to the facility, bringing the total size of the building up to 205,000 square feet.
- 205,000 square foot frozen distribution center
- 2-story office
- Built in 2 phases, 105,000 square foot original facility, followed by 100,000 square foot expansion 3 years later
- Selected Tippmann Group because of knowledge and skills in both construction and public warehousing industries
