(Fort Wayne, IN) - 75 years ago, the Lincoln Tower opened it’s doors to Fort Wayne and Northeast Indiana. At the time, it was the tallest building in Indiana, rising 312 feet from the sidewalk to the top of the flag pole.

Friday, August 26, 2005, Tippmann Group honors the Lincoln Tower’s 75th Anniversary with a community celebration.

Lincoln Tower 75th Anniversary Schedule of Events

• Friday, August 26, 2005:
  5:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. - WOWO Radio Live Remote Broadcast
  (WOWO was there in 1930 broadcasting the dedication of the Lincoln National Bank Tower - the first remote entertainment program ever broadcast in Fort Wayne).
• 9:00 a.m. - Press Conference - Mayoral Commendation presented to John Tippmann, Sr., Owner of Tippmann Group, the current owners of the Lincoln Tower (presentation by Fort Wayne Mayor Graham Richard)
• 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Community Celebration - Observation deck open to public, Atz’s Ice Cream, Lincoln Fountain Shop Popcorn
