With
the growing popularity of its meatless vegetarian
products, Worthington Foods of Zanesville,
Ohio needed a solution for its limited distribution
capabilities due to the company's increasing
sales. Tippmann Group analyzed the company's
shuttling system for product between the manufacturing
plant and a nearby public refrigerated warehouse,
and recommended an on-site freezer warehouse
for Worthington at the new company plant in
Zanesville. After Tippmann Group designed
and built a 1.1 million cubic square foot
facility, Worthington was able to slash its
operating costs, consolidate multi-customer
shipments into single loads, and increase
the output of its production.
