United Dairy Farmers,
a highly successful and family-owned ice cream
manufacturer in the Cincinnati market saw
an opportunity to branch out and venture into
a new industry in public warehousing. They
came to Tippmann Group looking for a complete
solution in one place. It began with Tippmann
helping UDF acquire a piece of land adjacent
to their ice cream production plant, in an
ideal location near several major interstates.
UDF also realized that Tippmann
Group was the only company in the industry
who could both design/build a new facility
for them, while also helping to prepare them
for the public warehousing business as only
an owner/operator can do. After touring the
Interstate Warehousing facility in Franklin,
IN (owned and operated by Tippmann Group),
UDF saw exactly the type of facility they
would be getting and the project was given
to Tippmann Group.
Tippmann’s engineers
designed a 105,000 square foot frozen distribution
facility with room for expansion on site,
and when it was complete, their new company,
Cold Chain Integrity, was in business.
The facility features nearly
80,000 square feet of freezer space, with
an 11,000 square foot shipping/receiving dock.
