After
Tippmann Group completed a public refrigerated
warehouse for Summit Cold Storage, it didn’t
take long for Summit to come back asking for
more. They filled their warehouse within one
year after it was completed. That’s
when Summit contacted Tippmann about expansion.
Summit’s
customers were in need of more space. As an
owner/operator of 40 million cubic feet of
refrigerated warehouse space themselves, Tippmann
Group knew how important it was to get the
job done quickly, not only for Summit, but
also for the benefit of Summit’s customers.
Tippmann Construction specializes in refrigerated
warehouses, and used their fast track construction
process to get the job done right as quickly
as possible. Summit President John Kucharski
said he chose Tippmann Group because he was
extremely pleased with the quality of Tippmann’s
work on Phase I of Summit’s warehouse.
As
in most of the buildings designed and built
by Tippmann, the master plan allows for expansion,
making it easier when the need arises. The
end result of Summit’s 81,000 square
foot expansion allowed the company to increase
the size of its warehouse without the need
for additional infrastructure.
