Henningsen
Cold Storage has a strong presence in the
public refrigerated warehousing industry in
the United States and when they had a need
arise in Portland, Oregon very quickly, they
came to Tippmann Group looking for some expert
assistance.
Henningsen’s need was
for a multi-temperature facility built to
support their existing facility in Portland
that was running out of space. They also realized
that no other construction company understands
the cold storage warehousing industry the
way Tippmann does, since Tippmann Group is
also owner/operator of Interstate Warehousing
PRWs all across the country.
Despite the fact that Henningsen
and Interstate are competitors in the PRW
world, they were not afraid to discuss and
share ideas about their needs, because of
the parallel growth the two companies have
seen over the last several years.
“Tippmann
delivered a show-piece facility that is our
most advanced project to date,”
said Paul Henningsen, Jr., Vice President
- Corporate Development & Engineering.
“It sets a new standard
of excellence for refrigerated warehouses.”
The 144,000 square foot facility
features storage areas for both cooler and
freezer products, nearly 20,000 square feet
of dock space, and a 2-story office.
